Weapon (warhammer), legendary (requires attunement by a Artificer)

A pair of expertly crafted automail prosthetics — one right arm and one left leg — made of lightweight steel and engraved with alchemic sigils. When activated, faint blue lightning crackles along their joints, and they feel as natural as flesh.

While attuned and wearing the Automail, you gain the following benefits:

  • Enhanced Body: Your AC increases by +1 while wearing light or no armor.

  • Weaponized Prosthetics: Your automail arm and/or leg functions as a fully integrated weapon and can be used as a +2 magical weapon that deals 1d8 bludgeoning damage(arm) or 1d10 bludgeoning damage(leg) (versatile) (finesse). It cannot be disarmed, and it works even if your other hand is occupied. you can use your Intelligence modifier instead of Strength for attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.

  • Enhanced Strength: You count as one size larger for the purpose of carrying capacity, grappling, and shoving.

  • Alchemic Strike: When you hit with this weapon, you can deal an additional 1d8 force damage as a surge of transmuted energy courses through the strike.

  • Spellcasting Conduit: This automail arm functions as your Artificer spellcasting focus. You do not require tools or components to cast Mending, Fabricate, Wall of Stone, or other transmutation-based spells.

Signature Feature: Instant Transmutation

As a bonus action, you can clap your hands together in prayer to perform an instantaneous transmutation. Choose one of the following effects:

  • Cover Creation: Instantly raise a 5 ft. x 5 ft. stone wall (AC 15, HP 30) from the ground within 10 feet.

  • Weapon Forge: Instantly transmute your automail arm into a longsword. This weapon is magical and retains the +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls. Its damage is changed to slashing.

  • Trap/Spikes: Cause a 5-foot square of ground within 10 feet to sprout spikes or collapse, turning it into difficult terrain.

  • Spellcasting: You can cast Mending, Fabricate, Wall of Stone, or any other transmutation-based spells.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum 1) per long rest.

Because automail is physically connected to your nervous system, it requires regular maintenance.

  • At the end of a long rest, you must spend 10 minutes performing repairs and tuning your automail.

  • If you fail to do so for more than 3 consecutive days, the automail becomes sluggish — you lose its +1 AC bonus and cannot use Instant Transmutation until it is repaired.

Set Bonus (with Coat & Pocket Watch)

If you are attuned to Crimson Coat of the Fullmetal Alchemist and State Alchemist’s Silver Watch, the automail unlocks:

True Fullmetal Form
Once per long rest, as a bonus action, you can enter a state of perfect alchemic focus for 1 minute. While in this state:

  • You gain resistance to all damage except psychic.

  • Your automail strikes deal +2d8 force damage on hit.

  • You can use your Instant Transmutation feature every turn without expending a use.

When the effect ends, you gain one level of exhaustion as the strain of channeling so much alchemic power takes its toll.

Proficiency with a Warhammer allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
