Armor (studded leather), rare (requires attunement by a person willing to attune to the armor and has light armor proficiency.)

The ribs and arms of a long-dead Aboleth have been carved into studs and set into enchanted leather, creating a piece of armor that pulses faintly with aberrant power. When donned, the bone studs subtly shift and mold themselves to fit the wearer’s body, as though the Aboleth’s essence remembers how to embrace prey.

Attunement. To attune to this armor, you must spend a short rest wearing it while allowing the bone studs to pierce your skin and the ribs to partially bond with your flesh. During this process, you take 2d6 piercing damage, which can’t be reduced or prevented. Once attuned, the armor no longer causes you harm, but faint scars remain where the bones latched into place.

Acid Resilience. While wearing this armor, you have Resistance to acid damage.

Barbed Defense. Whenever you are physically grappled, the creature grappling you takes 1d4 piercing damage at the start of its turn for each turn it continues to maintain the grapple.

Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
