You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
This weapon resembles a finely crafted mace made of a very shiny silver material. The handle appears to be grooved as though an extension of some sort could be fitted to it. There are also slots near the head of the mace that look as though something can be placed there. A faint crackly noise can be heard coming from the mace and shimmering waves of static electricity cascade around the weapon.
Marthammor Duin’s Thunderstick acts as a +1 mace that grows in power as different stages are added to it. When a hit is scored with this weapon you may roll 1d4 additional lightning damage on a normal hit and 1d6 additional damage on a critical hit. Because of it’s volatile nature If you roll a critical miss when making a melee attack you suffer 1d6 lightning damage. Once the weapon is at stage two it acts as a +2 warhammer with the same benefits as before however the additional lightning damage increases to 1d6 on a normal hit and 1d8 on a critical (the item is also now rare). The damage on a critical fail does not change. In it’s final stage the weapon acts as a +3 warhammer and the additional lighting damage increases to 1d8 on a normal hit and 1d10 on a critical (the item is now very rare).
Marthammor Duin’s Thunderstick was crafted by followers of Marthammor in order to pay homage to him. The weapon is fashioned in three stages as the disciple advances in their worship of Marthammor. At stage two an extended handle is fitted onto the existing handle and extra attachments are added to the head making it into a Warhammer. The third and final stage incorporates a core of lightning infused mana into the hilt of the weapon further accentuating it’s destructive power.
