This mask has been cracked in many places, but mended with some kind of glowing gold, creating a patchwork pattern that draws in the eye. Once attuned, the owner of the mask may don it to take on the appearance of someone they have seen die, or someone they have killed, using the Face of Death spell once per charge.
The owner can "favorite" 5 humanoid faces, but the mask will automatically hold the last 5 faces it has seen if no faces are favorited. If the wearer dies or relinquishes control of the mask, it forgets all favorited faces.
If the wearer dies while in possession of this mask, their face becomes a permanently favorited face, which cannot be forgotten.
The mask is recharged by being in the presence of a dying creature.
Notes: This item must be worn while watching a creature utter its final breath
