Lore
Originally forged by Baldemar Ironforge as a gift to his son. This armor was originally shiny and magnificent. Now it has dulled and been subdued. A worn and barely legible inscription on the inside of the armor reads… "We are so proud of you. - Love, Baldemar and Éabha".
This armor does not judge, it simply remembers.
With each innocent bloodstain it absorbs, it changes… not in shape, but in atmosphere.
No one can point out what is wrong. They only feel it.
Echos of the Unworthy Dead
The armor silently counts the number of non-hostile creatures killed by the wearer (or directly caused by them to die). These are NPC’s or creatures who were not actively aggressive before being harmed.
- The wearer is never warned or informed of this mechanic.
- The DM keeps the count privately.
- Every 3 such deaths, the armor becomes subtly darker, colder, and heavier not in stats, but in presence.
Intimidation Aura
- For every 3 non-hostile kills, the wearer gains +1 to intimidation checks, up to a max of +5.
- This bonus comes not from magical charm, but from the unsettling aura of the armor.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
