This intricate Mithril half-plate appears slightly tarnished and weathered. However, the dragon hide straps and masterwork buckles are sound and appear new. The armor has a high collar on both sides, wider shoulder plates and intricately carved lines run vertical in mosaic patterns along the sides. Strong, weathered black leather resides within the armor and provides leather leggings.
The armor provides +3 to armor class and saving throws against magic spells. Being mithiril, its light-weight and durability allows a full dexterity modifier and further increases armor class by 2 (to a total of +5, + dex mod).
The armor is imbued with Elven magic and provides the wearer the ability to absorb elements. The armor partially absorbs incoming energy (fire, cold, lightning, necrotic, radiant, thunder and force), lessening its effect on the wearer, reducing damage by 2d6 hit points. The armor then gains have resistance to the triggering damage type until a new type of energy is absorbed. In addition, after absorbing energy, the first time the wearer hits with a melee attack on the next turn, the target takes an extra 3d6 damage of the triggering type. There is no action to absorb or release energy.
Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Bonus: Saving Throws, Stealth Disadvantage
