Aethergarde

Dormant State (Level 2): While attuned to Aethergarde, it is considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances to damage. Additionally, when a creature is attuned to the item, the creature has advantage on saving throws against being frightened. This Longsword is also considered a finesse weapon.

Awakened State (Level 3): At 3rd level, Aethergarde awakens to reveal its true potential. You can use the ability Righteous Strike up to your proficiency bonus times per long rest. When activated with a bonus action, for 1 minute, Aethergarde deals an additional 1d6 radiant damage. Additionally, the wielder regains hit points up to half the radiant damage rolled.

Empowered State (Level 7): At level 7, Aethergarde becomes empowered and gains an Aura of the Faithful. When attuned to the Aethergarde you and allies within 10 feet of you gain advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed. Additionally, you and allies within the Aura gain resistance to Necrotic damage.

Consecrated State (Level 12): At level 12 the Aethergarde becomes a +2 Longsword and the Righteous Strike ability is upgraded. The Radiant damage becomes a d8, and creatures that are Fiends, Undead, Monstrosities, or Aberrations are vulnerable to the Aethergardes damage while the Righteous Strike is active.

Exalted State (Level 17): At level 17 Aethergarde becomes Exalted. Aethergarde becomes a +3 Longsword. The Aura of the Faithful increases to 60ft, allies within the aura gain the temporary hp granted from Righteous Strike as well as you, and the additional Radiant damage becomes a d10.

 

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
