Auto-Sentry

This portable device is a triumph of advanced technological engineering, such as that practiced by gnomes, dwarves, or a long-lost society. When collapsed, it appears as a small, metallic cylinder that can be carried in a pack. With a command word and a press of a button, it can deploy itself.

Deployment. As a bonus action, you can place the auto-sentry on a horizontal surface within 5 feet. When deployed, it transforms into a small, floating turret with a compact weapon. It remains deployed for 1 minute or until it is destroyed.

Automated Targeting. The auto-sentry has a limited but effective targeting system. At the start of its turn, the auto-sentry automatically targets and fires at the nearest hostile creature within 60 feet. It does not need to see the target to fire, but its shot might be hindered by cover.

Weaponry. The auto-sentry is equipped with a small, spring-loaded weapon that fires hardlight bolts. The auto-sentry makes a ranged weapon attack against its target with a +5 bonus to the attack roll, dealing 1d6 + 3 radiant damage on a hit.
