A brilliant golden medallion set with a shifting gemstone that glimmers in different holy hues. Sometimes sun-gold like Lathander’s light, sometimes deep jade like Chauntea’s harvest.

Kaching, the God of Greed and Excess, understands that faith is often a matter of presentation. His followers are encouraged to adapt, to blend in among other sects, and to profit from every altar. The Amulet of Kaching was forged for his most devout deceivers. They are missionaries who could walk unnoticed through the temples of rivals, offering blessings that filled both purse and ego.
Mechanics
While attuned to the Amulet of Kaching, you gain the following features:
1. Faith Chameleon
The amulet conceals your true divine allegiance.
- As a bonus action, you can cause the amulet to shimmer and reshape its appearance into the holy symbol of any known god or pantheon.
- When you enter a new settlement, the amulet automatically senses the most prominent local faith (at the DM’s discretion) and can subtly realign your aura to match it.
- Spells, abilities, and Divination magic that would identify your god instead return results consistent with the local faith, unless the caster succeeds on a DC 15 Wisdom (Insight) check or DC 15 spellcasting ability check against your spell save DC.
You always appear to radiate divine favor appropriate to the area. Your holy aura and prayers feel right to observers.
2. Sanctified Imitation
Whenever you cast a healing or protective spell (such as cure wounds, bless, or protection from evil and good), the amulet subtly adapts its flavor and divine manifestation to reflect the current guise.
- Healing granted this way appears as the divine style of the imitated god (for example, silver moonlight for Selûne, or radiant dawnlight for Lathander).
3. The Price of False Piety
Each dawn, roll a d6. On a 1, the amulet demands tribute for its services. You must offer gold or valuables worth 25 gp to the amulet, which absorbs them in a flash of warm golden light.
If you refuse or are unable to pay, your divine magic falters. Until the next dawn, you cast cleric spells at disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks that rely on Wisdom, as your false holiness flickers.
