Forged from shards of celestial silver and arcane steel tempered beneath an eclipsed moon, the Breastplate of the Divine Eclipse glows with a faint light that shifts between hues of gold and dark blue.
This armor adapts to its wearer, allowing them to move silently despite its weight. At its center, an embedded gem pulses to the rhythm of the wearer's heart.
Arcane Balance: You can add your Charisma modifier to Concentration rolls to maintain a spell.
Light of Dawn: As an action, you can cause the armor to emit bright light in a 6-yard radius and dim light for another 6 yards for 1 minute. While the light is active, you gain resistance to necrotic damage.
Darkness of the Eclipse: Once per long rest, you can activate the dark phase of the eclipse: for 1 minute, all your melee attacks deal an additional 1d8 radiant damage, but you take 1d4 necrotic damage each time you hit successfully.
Celestial Bond: You can cast Light, Detect Evil and Good, or Mage Armor without expending spell slots, once per short rest.
Unstable Duality: If you cast a spell of 3rd level or higher while the eclipse phase is active, roll 1d20:
On a 1–3, you suffer 1 level of exhaustion from the tension between your divine and arcane energies.
Echo of the Creator: Upon failing a saving throw against radiant or necrotic damage, you take additional damage equal to your Charisma modifier (the armor amplifies both types of energy).
Permanent Bond: If you remove the breastplate without properly breaking the attunement (through a 10-minute ritual), you take 2d4 radiant damage and are Blinded for 1 minute.
This armor consists of a fitted metal chest piece worn with supple leather. Although it leaves the legs and arms relatively unprotected, this armor provides good protection for the wearer's vital organs while leaving the wearer relatively unencumbered.
