Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement by a Requer sintonia por um clérigo da Luz Única)

Forged of polished silver and aged gold, the Aspergillum of the One Light bears a spherical reservoir at its tip, inlaid with shards of radiant crystal. When shaken, it releases shimmering droplets that hover in the air like embers of invisible incense.
These droplets spread outward, casting a soft, divine glow upon walls, towers, and ramparts — the visible manifestation of holy protection.

Some whisper that these droplets are not water at all, but condensed fragments of dreams — the true source of the Church’s blessings.

Effects

Blessing of the Walls (Ritual)

When the aspergillum is used in a sacred ritual lasting 1 hour, the cleric walks and sprinkles radiant light around a village, fortress, or sanctuary.
At the ritual’s end, a Barrier of Light manifests, lasting for 24 hours. During this time:

  • Aberrations and nightmare-born creatures cannot cross the barrier without succeeding on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw.

  • On a failed save, they suffer 4d8 radiant damage and are stunned until the end of their next turn.

  • Creatures within the barrier have advantage on saving throws against fear and charm effects.

  • The blessing fades at the next sunrise, requiring a new consecration (thus maintaining the faithful’s dependence on the Church).

Weapon of Faith

In combat, the cleric may wield the aspergillum as a +1 light mace.
Once per long rest, the wielder may invoke its divine power:

Sprinkling of Light. As an action, the cleric agitates the aspergillum, releasing a shower of radiant droplets in a 20-foot radius.

  • All aberrations and undead in the area take 3d8 radiant damage (DC 15 Constitution save for half) and are blinded until the start of their next turn.

  • Allies in the area regain 1d8 hit points and are freed from fear effects.

Limitations and Dependence

The aspergillum must be refilled with Holy Water of the One Light, produced only within the grand temples of the faith.

If used without this sacred water, its light becomes unstable — there is a 50% chance the ritual fails.

Ancient symbols upon its handle have begun to drip black ichor, an omen of corruption within the Church’s dominion… or cracks forming in the fabric of reality itself.
