Adventurer's Guild Law

  1. All Guild members will act in the Guild's interest.
  2. No Guild member shall harm another Guild member or their possessions.
  3. Local Laws shall be respected always.
  4. Guild members may not attempt to falsify or tamper with the Guild Bounty system
  5. Surrendered foes will be under our protection until handed over to the local law.
  6. The use of force against innocent parties is never an option.
  7. The protection of innocent parties supersedes all above rules.
  8. Guild members will submit to the will of local law enforcement unless that law enforcement has itself been compromised.
  9. If one of the above laws is broken and the Member/ Members in question willingly come forward with admittance of the infraction to guild management, this action will be considered when or if punishment is authorized.

Guild/Bounty Information

- To become an official member of the Adventurers Guild a request must be made at any officially affiliated Guild branch. A brief Proctor test will be performed in our training hall to adequately access the applicants combat proficiency. The rank of "Iron" is typically the first rank assigned but certain exceptions are rarely made. This process can be overruled and membership given if a potential member or party has a reference from an applicable and trusted source.

- Bounties or "Jobs" are posted on the Bounty Board located next to the front central doors on the scarlet board. Guild Rules and Information and the opposing wall on the lavender board.

- Bounties are updated daily by Guild Management or Local Authorities (Honor Guard).

- Bounties are written using a form of Illusionary Script that can only be deciphered when the appropriate 'Rank Medallion' is held near the text. This is to prevent lower ranked adventurers from attempting to accept bounties above their current efficiency. Each Bounty will be marked with the emblem of the associated rank at the bottom of it's sheet.

- When a guild member selects a bounty, they must inform a clerk or other guild employee who will verify the members rank in correspondence with the job. The member and their party will then have a 3 day claim to that bounty during which time no other party may request that job as it is "Currently Managed (CM)". If the party does not complete the bounty after a 3 day period, the bounty is placed on a 'first to complete' basis where any other party can attempt the job at will. The original party can apply for an extension if the job requires it on a case by case bases by informing a Guild employee. A party may only "Claim" 1 Bounty at a time until that bounty is either completed or the 3 day claim ends.

- Rewards: Monetary rewards for requested bounties are held within the Guild vault. Magic Item rewards however are given directly from the contact to the bounty holder unless under rare circumstances. The reward for a bounty may only be given after a member or party confirms with a Guild employee or bounty contact that the job is completed. If the bounty is requested by a specific individual, confirmation of the jobs completion to said individual is also highly advised but not required unless they are owed a magic item reward.

- Proof of completion of a bounty typically is held to an honor system to be later confirmed by local authorities. If the request entails the disposal of a 'Monster' a 'Trophy' (Head, Horn, Ear, Etc.) of some sort must be presented to a Guild employee. Trophies or the maiming of Humanoid corpses while on a job is highly discouraged. If a Guild member or party is at a later point in time caught lying or providing false information regarding the completion of a job, the offending members will have their Guild status terminated immediately and be banned from further Guild involvement.

- Items or "loot" found while performing a bounty request that does not pertain to the completion of the bounty is to divided amongst the group at their own discretion. If a Guild member is caught withholding items from their party while in the performance of a job, they will be brought to judgement before the Guild Master of the local Guild branch and can receive punishment up to a permanent expulsion from all official Guild business.

- A member or party seeking to advance in rank must undergo a two step process for this to be completed: First - Each member seeking advancement must prove current combat proficiency in a mock battle with a Guild Proctor. Second - If the Proctor determines adequate skill from the first test they will accompany the party on their next suitable job as a witness. The Proctor will not interfere or aid unless loss of life is imminent. If the Proctor deems the member or party's performance of sufficient level they can recommended the member or party's advancement to the Guild. If the member or party does not pass either test they fail and remain at their current rank. After a failing test, another advancement examination cannot be request for 2 weeks.

- No Combat is allowed on Adventurers Guild grounds

- Guild Tavern food and drink services last call will be at 2am every morning.

- Every Guild member paying a weekly fee will be entitled to a value breakfast (2 eggs, 2 sausage, Milk) and dinner (Soup of the Day). Food and Drink exceeding the previously mentioned meals will have a fee that must be paid at the time of consuming. NO LONG-TERM TABS

- Guild Training Hall is open to Guild members only and is open between 5:00 AM - 11:00 PM

- The Suppression Mirror in the Training Hall can only contain spells 4th level and below. If a Guild member damages the mirror or building with spells that exceed 4th level casting they will be responsible for the full cost of repairs and potential punishment may be rendered.

Please be respectful of other guests between the night hours. Many of our main hall doors contain Silence Sigils and we understand that ‘Nightly Activities’ are quite common for those in this line of work, but please try to keep sound levels at a respectful level so every guest can still receive a long rest.
