An ancient relic of the past, this small energetic sphere contains near limitless power. Permanently becoming one with the attuner, the core cannot be unnattuned from - becoming one with the bearers very being. The Arcane core allows one to push themselves beyond their physical limits, but to their own detriment as well.
Overclock. The core overflows with arcane energy, enhancing your physical prowess. As a free action, you can activate this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier +1; all uses recharge on a short rest. The effect lasts for 1 minute, and grants the bearer an additional 10ft movement speed, as well as 1d6 magic damage to all melee attacks; but half of that additional damage is also dealt back to you, as your own attacks land with more force than you can withstand.
Arcane Infinitium. This feature requires 6 seconds of preparation, consuming your action and ending your turn when started. Your movement is reduced to 0 as you anchor your legs to the ground, and you become vulnerable to all physical damage as your chest opens, exposing your Arcane Core. On your next turn, and every subsequent turn until you end this form, you can use your action to fire a single arcane beam out of your chest in a straight line up to 60ft. All creatures within this line have to make a DC(8+WIS+PROF) dexterity save. Taking (6d6+WIS) magic damage on a failed saving throw, and half on a successful one. Each beam fired consumes one of your hit dice. If you have no hit dice to consume, you can roll one of your hit dice as unresistable damage against yourself to continue firing. It takes a bonus action to pull yourself out of this form; immediately ending your vulnerable state, but you do not regain movement until next turn.
Notes: by a warforged, with the artifact held against their chest for the duration of a long rest.
