This small hand-sized artifact comes in many shapes and textures, dependent on the race of the creature that made it. Where one may be a dense, dark blue rock with yellow crystals, another may be amorphous and fleshy, scaled and hard, or furry and soft. No matter what it looks like, this artifact is granted by a high level creature like a Dragon, Fae, or some other high tier creature. Depending on what creature grants this object to you, you must be a high enough level to use it. This is determined by the DM. This is also the only way a creature that can gain racial levels can get kinship levels.
This object grants you kinship levels dependent on your compatibility to the object. This is dependent on your race and class. If you're compatible enough, you may even change races entirely. If you're level 5 or more into your racial levels, then this item is useless to you. Your kinship levels are directly attached to the creature that granted this item to you, and not the overall race of the creature. This is a single-use, consumable object. Once a character decides to use this, they destroy the object and the power infuses itself into their mana circuits, slowly seeping into their bloodstream. There is no going back from this.
Depending on the creature that gave this to you, the DM may take your character sheet if you gain enough levels, as the creature that gave this to you calls you back to do their bidding. This is especially true for creatures that have changed race due to this phenomena. This rule is also true for creatures whose race has been changed due to a super tier creature like Guardian Elementals, Monolith Dragons, Gods, or other incredibly high tier creatures.
When a character reaches level 15, they may create one of their own by infusing a mundane object of importance to the with their blood and mana. This can then be granted to another creature, following the rules above. The requirements of creating one is being a High Race (Tier 3, having evolved twice.)
