Add your Intelligence bonus to the Attack rolls made to hit with The Examiner.
Whenever you hit a creature with an Intelligence score greater than 3 with The Examiner, deal an additional 1d4 psychic damage to that creature.
The Examiner can create its own magical ammunition.
The Examiner has a number of Charges equal to twice your proficiency bonus, but does not gain back charges over time. Whenever you succeed on a Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma saving throw The Examiner gains 1 Charge and you gain the effects of the Guidance spell, except that it does not require Concentration. Whenever you kill a creature with The Examiner's Psychic damage The Examiner gains 3 Charges and you gain the effects of the Bless spell, except that it does not require Concentration.
You may expend Charges from The Examiner at the start of your turn as a free action for the following effects, choose one per turn:
- 1 Charge: You may move one willing ally 5 feet in any direction that ally could legally move.
- 1 Charge: Cast Thaumaturgy on yourself, choosing two modes at once.
- 2 Charges : The next time you hit a creature this turn with The Examiner, it is affected by the Command spell with a DC 18 to save. Once this ability is used you must complete a long or short rest before using it again.
- 5 Charges: You may expend one spell slot of any level to cast Power Word: Fortify. Once this ability has been used it can not be used again for 7 days.
Proficiency with a Hand Crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
