Armor (leather), rare
"The Silent Shroud"
This armor is crafted from exceptional, midnight-black leather, cured with a subtle, smoky gray sheen that seems to shift in dim light. The material is tough yet remarkably flexible, offering protection without hindering movement or making noise. The craftsmanship is utilitarian and somber, avoiding ostentation in favor of function, a hallmark of Kelemvor's clergy.
The most prominent feature is the embossed symbol of Kelemvor on the breastplate: a stylized upright skeletal arm holding a set of perfectly balanced golden scales. The scales are subtly magical, perpetually gleaming with a faint, internal golden light.
The armor is edged with thin, silver piping, a nod to the silver headbands worn by the elite "Doomguide" priests of the faith.
Key Abilities:
- Protection from Undeath: The armor provides a bonus to AC (e.g., +1 AC, in addition to the normal AC of leather armor). Additionally, the wearer has resistance to necrotic damage.
- Guide the Lost: The wearer can use a bonus action to cause the scales on the chest to glow with the same bright, searing white radiance as "The Last Judgment" greatsword. This sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet, which causes any undead within the bright light to have disadvantage on saving throws.
- The Final Rest: The armor helps the wearer focus on their sacred duty to end unnatural life. Once per day, when the wearer strikes an undead creature, that creature must make a Wisdom saving throw ( 13 ) or be paralyzed until the start of the wearer's next turn.
The breastplate and shoulder protectors of this armor are made of leather that has been stiffened by being boiled in oil. The rest of the armor is made of softer and more flexible materials.
Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Resistance: Necrotic
