Weapon (glaive), very rare

The Athame ripens into a twilight-forged relic. Its bone-white blade now striates with veins of obsidian rot and silver bloom, pulsing faintly like a heartbeat. Ivy braids itself tighter along the hilt, whispering not in two voices now, but in one converged harmony—a verdict sung in dusk’s chorus.

When drawn, the twilight flash of the blade briefly silhouettes a spectral Court behind the witch: petals and decay circling in ritual orbit.

  • Living Weapon:  Functions as a +2 Glaive without the heavy property. As a bonus action, you may shift its form into a +2 shortsword. You may use your Intelligence modifier instead of Dexterity or Strength for attack and damage rolls. While attuned to this relic, you gain proficiency and mastery with it regardless of its form.
  • Dual Aspect: On each strike, you may choose to deal radiant (Bloom) or necrotic (Rot) damage instead of the weapon’s normal damage.
  • Thornbite: Once per turn, when you hit a foe under a condition (poisoned, restrained, charmed, or frightened), the attack deals an extra 2d4 damage.

“Named by dusk, judged by night.”
“The Court sees through all veils.”
"The choice is no longer yours alone — the Court nudges the hand, whispering bloom or ruin.”

This item evolve into a Athame of Verdant Judgment with a ritual at 13th lvl.

Proficiency with a Glaive allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
