“Editing Moments”
As its bearer begins to defy “inevitable” outcomes and survive where they should have fallen, Amaunator’s Belt stirs from its slumber. The once-dull plates polish themselves from within, catching even the faintest glimmer of sun or moon and holding it just a moment too long. The etched suns seem to creep along their circuits when unobserved, and the inner sigils prickle against the skin like the tick of unseen gears. In this state, the Belt quietly tugs the wearer half a heartbeat out of harm’s way, whispering split-second warnings from futures that no longer quite happen.
While wearing this belt, you gain the following benefits:
Fluidity of the Hour. Your walking speed increases by 10 feet. You can move through the space of any creature that is of a size larger than yours.
Control over the hour's fluidity lets you slip between the moments, moving outside the normal rhythm of time.
Subtle Chronometer. You gain +1 to Initiative. You always know the exact time of day and how long until sunrise/sunset/moonrise.
Light of the Unfinished Day. You learn the Comprehend Languages spell and can cast it once per short rest without a spell slot.
Words drift and crumble with every century, but meaning does not—time may twist the tongue, yet the heart still aches to be understood.
Sun-Tempered Eyes. You gain Advantage on Perception checks that rely on sight in Bright Light.
Temporal Rebuff (2/Short Rest). When a creature you can see within 30 ft hits with an attack, you can use your reaction to force that creature to reroll the attack. It must use the second result.
Future’s Whisper (1/Short Rest). When you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can roll 1d4 and add it after seeing the roll but before knowing the outcome.
