The Alethiometer is a device invented for the purpose of measuring the truth. It has three dials that can be moved to three of thirty-six symbols to ask it a question, after which a needle will move from symbol to symbol, answering the question. Anyone can move the dials, but only a creature attuned to the Alethiometer can read the answer.
the Alethiometer has 10 charges. You can use 2 charges to cast Augury, 4 charges to cast Divination, or 6 charges to cast Commune. Casting the spells in this way doesn't cause the cumulative chance of no answer. the Alethiometer regains 1d6+4 charges at the next dawn. If you finish a short rest and there are no charges remaining, the Alethiometer regains 2 charges.
Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement)
