Weapon (longbow), uncommon

An atlatl is an ancient tool that acts as an extension of ones arm to gain greater velocity with a thrown dart or spear. They are usually carved of 1-2 feet of wood with intricate details, and a bannerstone, often carved as an animal, attached to the middle of the shaft to add weight to the throw. In many regions, atlatls were the precursor to the bow and arrow.
