Weapon (greatsword), very rare (requires attunement by a Paladin or Warlock, preferably of Tiefling origin)

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

The blade hums faintly, its edge asymmetrical as if torn between planes. Its hue shifts from blackened crimson to trembling amber to radiant silver-blue depending on its current form a mirror of the wielder’s inner state.

The sword has 1d8 charges. Each dawn, it regains 1d8 charges and transforms between one of three states: Corrupted, Purified or Conflicted. Roll a 1d6 to determine the form it takes, and thus the spells which can be cast from it. After scoring a critical hit, you may also choose to reroll the sword´s form again. [roll]1d8[/roll]

[1-2]: Corrupted:

  • Hellish rebuke [DC:16] (1 charge per level)
  • Bane [DC:16] (1 charge per level)

[3-4]: Conflicted:

  • Detect good and evil (1 charge)
  • Protection from good and evil (1 charge)
  • Dispell magic [Use charisma bonus] (3 charges)
  • Banishment [DC: 16] (4 charges)

[5-6]: Purified:

  • Bless (1 charge per level)

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
