Forged by the blade smiths of the Ashen Veil this +3 sword is characterized by a curved, single-edged blade that has been extended beyond traditional length, granting its wielder greater reach in battle. Typically adorned by ornamental accessories such as but not limited to: Customized guards, Hanging Cords, Golden Adornment and delicate Damascus patterns.
You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
While wielding this blade, you gain a +1 bonus to AC.
This weapon has the finesse and reach properties.
You can choose to attune to this weapon. While attuned, you gain the following benefit:
The sword deals an additional 2d6 damage of a type of your choice: acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, necrotic, poison, psychic, radiant, or thunder. You choose the damage type when you finish a long rest, and you can change it whenever you finish another long rest.
When you take damage of the chosen type, you can use your reaction to absorb a portion of that energy into the blade. When you do so, you gain resistance to that damage type until the start of your next turn. The next time you hit a creature with this blade before the end of your next turn, the attack deals an extra 2d10 damage of the chosen type.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
