Weapon (rapier), uncommon (requires attunement by a Oro, the Chosen of Greed, only)

Aurum — The Gilded Hunger

Weapon (rapier), rare (requires attunement by Oro, the Chosen of Greed)

This ornate rapier is forged from magically condensed gold that never tarnishes or warps. When you strike, the blade gleams bright enough to hurt the eyes.

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.

Gilded Slash

When you hit a creature with this weapon, you deal an additional 1d4 radiant damage.

Avarice Strike (1/Short Rest)

When you hit a creature, you may choose to unleash Aurum’s greed.

The target must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or become Weakened by Greed for 1 minute:
• The creature has disadvantage on attack rolls against any target other than you.
• The creature’s movement toward you is not considered provoked (it does not trigger opportunity attacks).
• If the creature ends its turn more than 10 feet away from you, it takes 1d6 radiant damage as Aurum punishes its “lack of devotion.”

The creature may repeat the save at the end of each of its turns.

Coin-Drinker

When a creature under the effect of Avarice Strike deals damage to a target other than you, you immediately gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1).

Curse of Covetousness

While attuned to Aurum, you experience the following:
• You cannot willingly give away gold or valuables unless the item is of equal or greater value in return.
• You have advantage on checks to appraise, detect, or acquire treasure.
These effects are not considered a harmful curse but reflect Greed’s influence.

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

(This weapon manipulates creatures with radiant greed. Additional effects are handled manually by the player.)

Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Radiant, Bonus: Temporary Hit Points, Bonus: Ability Checks, Oro, the Chosen of Greed, only, Damage, Combat, Finesse, Vex
