“The Unlived Dawn”
When belief gathers and the bearer stands on the threshold of godhood, Amaunator’s Belt becomes less an object and more an orbit. Its plates burn with sunfire veiled in moonlight, shifting from bright gold to silvered dusk with the turning of the hours, while ghostly rings of light and shadow circle the wearer like the paths of unseen worlds. The engraved suns bloom into miniature eclipses and coronas, and the inner chronal sigils sink beneath the skin, fusing artifact and soul. In this state, the Belt is a nascent divine engine of time and choice—a proto-constellation of stolen tomorrows, ready to ignite into a new star in the dark pantheon.
While wearing this belt, you gain the following benefits:
Radiant Paradox. You gain resistance to radiant and necrotic damage and advantage on saving throws against effects that would age you, alter time, or transport you unwillingly through time.
Anchor of the Hour. You can’t be surprised while conscious. When rolling initiative, you may treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.
The battlefield always “starts” a little closer to the way you want it.
Thread of the Weaver. You can attune to up to four magic items at once.
The temporal energies of the Belt stabilize a point just outside the present, enabling the wearer to grasp and anchor one extra thread of destiny and its attendant power.
Fluidity of the Hour. Your walking speed increases by 10 feet. You can move through the space of any creature that is of a size larger than yours.
Control over the hour's fluidity lets you slip between the moments, moving outside the normal rhythm of time.
Subtle Chronometer. You gain +1 to Initiative. You always know the exact time of day and how long until sunrise/sunset/moonrise.
Light of the Unfinished Day. You learn the Comprehend Languages spell and can cast it once per short rest without a spell slot.
Words drift and crumble with every century, but meaning does not—time may twist the tongue, yet the heart still aches to be understood.
Sun-Tempered Eyes. You gain Advantage on Perception checks that rely on sight in Bright Light.
Not This Way (1/long rest). When a creature you can see within 60 ft would drop to 0 HP, you can use your reaction to invoke the full power of the Belt. That creature instead drops to 1 HP, and any ongoing effects that triggered from them hitting 0 HP (like a kill-based smite, or “when a creature dies” abilities) do not occur. Immediately after, you take 2 levels of exhaustion as your body carries the weight of the undone death.
Temporal Rebuff (3/Short Rest). When a creature you can see within 30 ft hits with an attack, you can use your reaction to force that creature to reroll the attack. It must use the second result.
Future’s Whisper (1/Short Rest). When you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can roll 1d4 and add it after seeing the roll but before knowing the outcome.
Tiny echoes of futures where you hesitated less.
