the plates of this armor are attatched to a light underlayer, with a visible arcane-blue light flowing from the seemes, the armor itself is angular in design with smooth surfaces hte plates can be detatched amking it easier to don and doff.

you gain a bonus to your AC equal to half your proficiency bonus while wearing this armor.

modular: when you don or doff this armor, you can treat it as chain mail.

shattershield: as a bonuns action, you can activate the armor, the plates explode outwards hovering around in a roughly 10ft sphere centered on you, upon activation you can choose to push any character of you choice within the sphere 5ft away from you, while the armor is shattered, your ac is lowered by you prof. bonus, however any attack agains you and any character of you choice within the sphere has disadvantage on attack rolls made against you and your and your allies within 10ft of you have advantage on dexterity and strentgh saving throws.

 protect: as a bonus action you can choose to move the center of the sphere to any point you can see, or any creature you can see, if this is the case, the creature becomes the center.

restrain:  while the armor is shattered you can choose a character that you can see and send the plates to them, that character must make a strenght saving throw as per the grapple action, on a fail the character counts as restrained and immobilized, you can choose to move that character up to half your speed as an action, however you must repeat the grapple check each time you do so, the target breaks free on a success, while you are restraining a creature this way, the bonuses you gain from shattershield are deactivated.

you can recompose the armor with a bonus action, the plates automatically return to you ending any active effect related to them.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
