A finely crafted rapier with a blade of pure silver. An aura of sorrow and deep despair surrounds the blade, leaving a feeling of hollowness in those who use it for too long.
Vicious Tears: Upon attunement to this weapon, five animate rapiers identical to the original appear and float around you. These rapiers use the Animated Flying Sword stat block. When you hit a creature with an attack, all the swords also attack that same creature. Or, on your turn, you can use your action to command the rapiers to attack up to 5 targets within 30 ft of you, with each sword rolling individually. When an ally within 30ft of you gets attacked, you can use your reaction to add +5 to their ac, you can only do this before it is decided if the creature is hit or not. You may also use this effect on yourself.
Crippling Despair: Upon the death of one of the swords, roll a d4. On a 3 or lower, take 2d6 piercing damage as the dead sword stabs you, paralyzing you for 1d4 rounds.
Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
