Armor (plate), rare

This ancient plate armor is etched with glowing runes of protection and bears the sigil of a long-dead paladin's order. Its surface hums softly with divine energy, and the faint scent of incense lingers in the air around it. The armor is said to have been forged by a legendary paladin who vowed to protect the innocent, and its very presence inspires courage in allies.

  1. Divine Resistance
The wearer gains resistance to radiant damage.

  2. Shield of Faith
While wearing this armor, the paladin can cast Shield of Faith once per long rest. The spell’s effects are the same as the original: the target gains a +2 bonus to AC and +1 to saving throws.

  3. Divine Smite Amplified
When the paladin uses their Divine Smite feature, the damage is doubled (e.g., a 1d8 damage die becomes 2d8). This effect applies to all uses of Divine Smite per day.

  4. Guardian’s Resolve
The paladin can use a reaction to reduce the damage of an attack that hits them by an amount equal to their level. This ability can be used once per long rest.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
