🛡️ Aegis of the World-Ender
(Tarrasque Scale Shield)
Forged from a single overlapping scale taken from a Tarrasque slain or subdued before the Sundering of the Weave, this shield carries primordial resilience, not arcane enchantment. Its power is biological and divine, making it unusually stable in your setting.
🦖 World-Ender Hide (Passive)
The shield is made from a creature that refused to obey magic.
You are immune to forced movement (shove, thunderwave-style effects) unless you choose otherwise.
You cannot be knocked prone while conscious.
Siege weapons and colossal creatures (Gargantuan) do half damage to you.
---
⚡ Tempest’s Bulwark (Reaction)
Once per short rest, when you are hit by an attack you can see:
Reduce the damage by 3d10 + your Paladin level
If the attacker is Large or larger, they must succeed on a Strength save (DC = 8 + proficiency + Strength mod) or be staggered, reducing their movement speed to 0 until the end of their next turn.
No magic. Just immovable defiance.
---
🌩️ Pre-Folly Storm Memory (Limited Divine Power)
The scale still remembers a time when gods walked freely.
Once per long rest, you may activate this ability as a bonus action:
For 1 minute:
You gain immunity to fear
You emit a 30-ft aura of pressure
Enemies treat the area as difficult terrain
Flying creatures must land or begin falling unless they are Huge or larger
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Shield (artifact), requires attunement by a Paladin or Lawful-aligned creature, Combat, Warding
