Armor (plate), legendary

Molten Adamantine

This item is made from pure melded Adamantine. To equip it you must be wearing nonmagical plate armor and pour the adamantine onto the armor, which will mold the plate armor and the Adamantine onto your skin permanently. This process will render the plate armor useless, and to doff the armor you must spend one workweek and 50gp worth of materials to chisel off the armor, which would destroy it.

Really Heavy

While wearing this armor your speed is decreased by 10ft because of the massive weight, and your carrying capacity is reduced by 60 pounds. In addition, the distances of your high and long jumps are halved. Because the armor is so heavy, if you have a strength score of 16 or lower, you have disadvantage on all d20 tests while wearing this armor, and your movement speed is reduced by an additional 10ft.

Super Tough Stuff

You have AC 23 while wearing this, and you gain a damage threshold as detailed below.

Big and Bulky

Because this armor is so bulky and covers your entire body, you cannot wear hats, cloaks, rings, bracers, or boots. You also have disadvantage on perception checks and a -2 to passive perception, because the adamantine covers your body in a thick coating, disrupting your peripheral vision.

Damage Threshold

Prevent the first x damage dealt to you each turn, where x is 10 + your constitution modifier + half of your strength modifier (rounded down). Past this point, you take half damage or 1/4 damage if you have resistance to the damage type. If an attack hits you while you haven't taken damage yet this turn and the amount of damage that it deals is less than x, you take no damage, and this property can't fully cancel damage from the same source this way more than once each turn.

Reflective Carapace

If you would be targeted by a Magic Missile spell or a spell that requires a ranged attack roll, roll 1d6. On 1-3, the spell takes effect as normal. On 4-5, the spell fails. On a 6, you reflect the spell back to it's caster as if you cast it.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.

Notes: Str. 15 Required, Stealth Disadvantage
