An Ash Cloak manifests as a mantle of ember-threaded shadow that drapes across the wearer’s shoulders. It may resemble scorched fabric, drifting smoke, or a wavering silhouette of heat, depending on the light. The cloak is warm to the touch and sheds faint ash when its powers are invoked.
The cloak is not truly worn—it appears when the bearer is acknowledged as Cindercore and cannot be removed by mundane means.
While wearing the Ash Cloak, you gain the ability to cast Cinderstep twice per long rest, and Ash Veil once per long rest. You gain resistance to fire damage and have advantage on Dexterity(Stealth) checks made when obscured.
Omen’s Mark (Passive)
While within Ashwyn or the grounds of The Black Hearth, you gain advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks.
Additionally, you are instinctively aware of the presence of other Cindercore, Ashbound, Ashwardens, or agents of The Omen within 1 mile, though not their exact location.

Bond of the Cindercore
The Ash Cloak is bound to The Omen’s recognition of the wearer. If the bearer willfully acts in direct opposition to her stated designs, the cloak may grow heavy and unresponsive at the DM’s discretion, suppressing one of its abilities until the conflict is resolved.
