This delicate silver amulet holds a softly glowing opalescent gem that seems to swirl with drifting mist. When worn, the gem is warm to the touch and faint whispers can be heard when the wearer sleeps.
Lore
Dream scholars believe these amulets are fragments of a forgotten god’s final sleep, gifted to mortals who walk the line between waking and dreaming too often.
Dreambound Mind
While wearing the amulet, you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.
Lucid Slumber
While attuned to the amulet, you require only 4 hours of sleep to gain the benefits of a long rest, provided you spend that time dreaming uninterrupted.
Dreamstep
The amulet has 3 charges and regains 1d3 charges daily at dawn.
As a bonus action, you may expend 1 charge to momentarily blur into the dream-realm:
- Until the end of your next turn, opportunity attacks against you are made with disadvantage, and
- Your movement does not provoke opportunity attacks from creatures that are charmed, frightened, or unconscious.
Shared Dream
Once per long rest, while you are asleep, you may choose one willing creature you know. Both of you experience the same dream, allowing you to converse normally for up to 10 minutes.
This communication transcends distance and planar boundaries but cannot convey images of places you have never seen.
Nightmare Backlash
If you are reduced to 0 hit points while wearing the amulet, the gem fractures with a psychic scream. Each hostile creature within 10 feet must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC 14) or be frightened of you until the end of their next turn.
Once this effect triggers, it cannot be used again until the next dawn.
