The aspergillum maul absorbs acid, holy water, or other substances and delivers them as 2d6 (7) bonus damage of the appropriate type (acid, radiant, etc.) on a successful hit. When holy water has been absorbed, the radiant damage is only done to undead, fiends, or other beings vulnerable to holy water.
