 Amulet of Merlin

  • Wondrous item (artifact), requires attunement

Forged by Merlin to defend both the Troll and Human worlds, this ancient amulet binds itself to a chosen bearer. When activated, the amulet conjures living armor of enchanted stone and steel, transforming the wearer into a Trollhunter. The armor responds to the bearer’s will and cannot be removed against their wishes, vanishing back into the amulet when dismissed or when the wearer falls unconscious.

In its Daylight Armor form, the amulet manifests radiant blue armor etched with runes of protection and balance. While transformed, the wearer gains exceptional resilience and strength, standing as a guardian against creatures that threaten the innocent. The armor is steady and defensive, designed to protect allies and hold the line against overwhelming foes.

he amulet may awaken its Eclipse Armor. This form reshapes the armor into a darker, more jagged manifestation, amplifying the wearer’s power at the cost of control. The Eclipse Armor is feared even among trolls, for it reflects the amulet’s ability to draw upon forbidden magic—powerful, relentless, and dangerous if misused.
