Weapon (longsword), rare

The mandibles of the giant ant were vicious to fight against, able to punch through armour with their serrated edges. Transformed into a sword that menaces with teeth and curves to a wickedly sharp point, it now looks more dangerous still. The long, curved edge makes it easier to land a blow, and the teeth bite through any target.

It takes a character stout of heart to wield such a blade, with remnants of the fungus that controlled the ant still sprouting from it even now. Curiously, any damage the sword takes seems to patch itself over, and if you hold it for too long you sometimes get the sensation of something growing over your hand. It is just a sensation, but quite an unpleasant one, and one that makes you think of skittering limbs and crawling things.

Functionally this sword acts as a +1 longsword, adding a +1 on both the roll to hit, as well as the damage die.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
