Attunement requires the bearer to spend 1 hour in quiet vigil during dusk or dawn, holding the reliquary beneath the open sky. During this vigil, the cleric must offer a prayer of guardianship, pledging to stand watch over others in times of darkness. These charges fuel the reliquary’s lunar miracles and guide its awakening.)

The moon within Lunaris now burns with a steady twilight glow. Its bearer no longer merely watches the darkness they hold it at bay.

This staff functions as a +1 magical quarterstaff and may be used as a holy symbol by a Twilight Cleric.

Devotion Charges:
This item gains Devotion Charges through acts of protection, vigilance, and preservation of allies. The wielder can hold a maximum number of charges equal to their Proficiency Bonus. Charges are spent to fuel Lunar Miracles and advance the relic’s awakening.

Lunar Invocation (Awakened).
While attuned to Lunaris in its Awakened state, you gain one additional use of Channel Divinity. This additional use refreshes when you finish a long rest. This does not grant an additional Channel Divinity option—only an additional use.

Sanctified State (Sanctified)
The moon within Lunaris shines at full strength, its light steady and unwavering. The bearer stands firmly at the boundary between safety and shadow, their presence anchoring allies against the dark.

Phases of the Moon.
At dawn, choose one lunar phase. You gain its benefit until the next dawn:

• New Moon: You gain a +1 bonus to your spell save DC (this does not stack with the item’s inherent bonus).
• Half Moon: You have advantage on Constitution saving throws made to maintain concentration on a spell.
• Full Moon: When you grant temporary hit points, the amount increases by 1d6.

Mantle of Dusk.
While you are in dim light or darkness, you gain a +1 bonus to AC.

 — EXALTED STATE —

The moon within Lunaris no longer merely shines—it commands the night. The bearer’s vigilance spills outward, sheltering allies through sheer presence.

Overflowing Twilight.
Whenever you grant temporary hit points to a creature, you may choose one affected creature to gain advantage on the next saving throw it makes before the end of its next turn.

Moonfall Ward (1/Week).
As an action, you create a 30-foot-radius sphere of protective twilight centered on yourself that lasts for 1 minute. While within the sphere:

• Allies gain half cover.
• The area is difficult terrain for hostile creatures.
• Undead creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls.

Once this feature is used, it cannot be used again until seven days have passed.

 — ASCENDANT STATE —

The moon within Lunaris shines with eternal twilight, its light unwavering even in the deepest darkness. The bearer no longer merely guards the threshold—they are the threshold.

Guardian of the Threshold.
You and friendly creatures within 30 feet of you cannot be surprised. In addition, while a creature is within your Twilight Sanctuary, it has resistance to necrotic and radiant damage.

Avatar of Twilight (1/Month).
As a bonus action, you assume an avatar of twilight form for 30 seconds. While in this form:

• Your Twilight Sanctuary does not require concentration.
• Temporary hit points granted by your Twilight Sanctuary cannot be reduced.
• Once during this duration, when a creature within your Twilight Sanctuary would drop to 0 hit points, it instead drops to 1 hit point.

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until 30 days have passed.

Last Light of Dusk.
If you die while attuned to Lunaris, your body dissolves into moonlight. At the next dawn, you return to life with half your hit points, and Lunaris becomes dormant reverting back to Tier 1 until you complete a major divine quest at the DM’s discretion.

Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
