Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement)

Description. The sword contains the entities Radatch and Mardatch; the first being the hunter, who breaks the small and smaller vermin while crushing titans, yet is merciful to those who are neither. But a hunter is not complete without a hunting dog. The hound Mardatch lingers with its master in the blade, its spirit for tracking released when conjured into the second blade. Radatch's longsword is a marble-white blade adorned with ruby crystals, forming intricate patterns resembling eyes that cover its surface. Mardatch, an obsidian blade, bears blood-red eyes that frantically dart in all directions, as if searching for a target, until they find their prey and stare right at it. Radatch was fond of music. Though he was deaf, he played his violin as if he could hear and feel every note, to the despair of his hound.

Effect. When attuned to the longsword Radatch, the longsword has +1 to hit and damage rolls. When using the sword with two hands the sword deal extra damage based on the creature size:

  • Tiny/Small: 1d10 Radiant damage
  • Medium/Large: 1d8 Radiant damage
  • Huge: 1d6 Radiant damage
  • Gargantuan: 1d12 Radiant damage

Call Of The Hound. As a bonus action, you can conjure a +1 Shortsword called Mardatch in your free hand. If you have no free hand, the effect fails. When you hit a creature with Mardatch, the creature becomes marked, and an eye appears on the blade, always looking in the direction of the marked creature. You can only mark one creature at a time. As a bonus action, you can remove the mark from a creature.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
