An exquisitely and ornately crafted magical hand that can rapidly extend from the end of the magically clockwork prosthetic arm it is attached to via length of chain. The prosthetic arm has been future proofed to allow for multiple modes of action. Currently it supports the ability to act as a normal hand, and the grappling hook. Who knows what other features the arm could be made to have?
As a Utilize action, you can throw the Hand at a railing, a ledge, or another catch within 50 feet of yourself, and the hook catches on if you succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. You can then climb then as a Bonus Action retract and load, length of chain that extends from the arm drawing yourself towards the attachment point. If not retracted as a bonus action, the chain acts as a 50ft length of rope between you and the attachment point.
As an Attack Action, you can throw the Hand at a target creature using your Unarmed Attack skill as if it were a Ranged Attack with ranges 15/50. If you succeed on the attack, the target takes damage equal to your Unarmed Attack, and is Grappled. The target creature may as an Action attempt to escape the grapple with a Strength(Athletics) or Dexterity(Acrobatics) equal to or exceeding the Escape DC of the attacker (8 + Strength Modifier + Proficiency Bonus). Attempting this attack at a target creature within 5ft, or who is prone, is at disadvantage.
As a Reaction you may make an Attack Action as described above, and halt the movement of a creature within ranges 15/50.
Once the hand has been thrown, retracting it to load it again requires a Bonus Action. If the hand remains extended at the end of your turn, you cannot move outside the maximum range of the arm of 50ft from it's attach point, and any actions, reactions or bonus actions, that require two hands, or this hand specifically cannot be used.
