A powerful, siege defense crossbow with a windlass mechanism, used for drawing back the string. Being prone while attacking with this weapon does not impose disadvantage.
This weapon has the special draw property: Due to the time and effort required to operate the windlass mechanism, you must use an Action or Bonus Action and forfeit movement on your turn to ready another piece of ammunition.
Proficiency with a Heavy Crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Push. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.
