Ring, uncommon (requires attunement by a by a being deemed worthy by the ring)

Housed within a small ring bearing the insignia of an opened claw, houses the spirit of a mighty warrior who seeks to meet the most courageous of beings.

Sentience. The Tumbleblight Claw is a sentient chaotic neutral ring with an Intelligence of 6, a Wisdom of 8, and a Charisma of 8. It has hearing and normal vision out to a range of 30 feet. The ring communicates by speaking in a posh British accent.

Personality. The Tumbleblight Claw seeks to wielded by only the most worthy of challengers. It speaks sarcastically towards anyone who dares questions its motives and will praise anyone who can wield its immense power. The ring will refuse attunement and will forcefully unattune itself from any creature who fit or gain any traits of the following criteria:

  • The creature's height shorter than 3 feet.
  • The creature has a strength score equal to, or lower than, 7.
  • The creature's material wealth is worth less than 10 GP.

In order to attune to the ring, a creature must go through a trial of immense difficulty. Its most common challenge is "Survive a 5-foot drop," but its trial can be up to DM discretion. 

While attuned to the Tumbleblight Claw, you can invoke its mighty power; If you take fall damage, as a reaction, you can reduce the damage you take by 1d4.

This power of the ring can only be used once every 13.82209 days.
