This tin looking knife, is small and looks more like a cheap knife that could be found in a Scholars Pack; almost like a letter opener. When looking at the flat dull blade it initially appears somewhat pitted and worn, but upon closer inspection there are actually pictures of 5 guys on it, a Human, a Halfling, a Dwarf, an Elf, and a Gnome (There are 5 different subtle variations of this picture).
Whenever the flat surface of the knife is rubbed across any solid food such as bread or meat a dressing or glaze appears on the food. If a particular dressing or glaze is mentioned then that has a 50% chance of appearing, otherwise the knife decides what is best in that situation for the person that will be eating it; their sandwich or meat has been "dressed".
If the flat surface of the knife is rubbed across a wound as a bonus action then the wound is sealed and acts as a Spare the Dying cantrip; their wounds have been "dressed".
If the knife is carried towards the carcass of a creature the blade will extend and sharpen to a true dagger shape. When in this form the dagger will expertly filet and "dress" the creature, providing the maximum amount of edible or usable material from the carcass. The dagger is especially focused on providing edible portions, but is excellent at trimming off potentially magical pieces as well.
SPECIAL: If the 5-Guys Dagger of Dressing. 5-Guys Spork of Seasoning, the 5-Guys Tin Cup of Imbibery, and the 5-Guys Peanuts of Alarm are all placed in the 5-Guys Mess Kit of Holding then once a day a meal produced using the kit over the course of a short or long rest will produce a Heroes Feast per the spell, in addition to the individual abilities of each item.
SPECIAL-SPECIAL: If all of the 5-Guys item identified above have the same picture of the 5-Guys on them (Matching set), then the possessor of the kit is known worldwide as an extraordinary chef. This fame is very specific to cooks, chefs, tavern keepers, waitstaff and similar professions (Even a "foodie" at a campfire is a possibility). It is very rare that this recognition would have them stand out in a crowd or get them stopped at a gate, but whenever they are sitting in a tavern or inn they might be approached and asked for an autograph or to try a recipe for their opinion. They are at advantage with these people to get information or support such as a free meal, lodging or escort, especially if a meal is prepared for them using the kit.
