Appearance
This ancient smoking pipe is carved from petrified worldroot wood, its bowl inlaid with spiraling amber-veined crystal. When lit, the smoke curls unnaturally, forming faint silhouettes of leaves, spores, and drifting stars. When dormant, the pipe feels warm, as though something within still breathes.
Passive Property — Ancestral Ember
While attuned, the wielder gains the following benefit:
You have advantage on Survival checks related to plants, fungi, and natural terrain.
You can identify common non-magical mushrooms and herbs without a check.
To attune to the Pipe of the Verdant Chronicle, a creature must be capable of casting spells from the wizard or druid class and must complete a 1-hour ritual of quiet meditation while smoking mundane herbs or fungi from the pipe. During attunement, the wielder experiences faint visions of ancient forests, fungal cities beneath roots, and long-dead ancestors whispering forgotten druidic truths.
You can find and experiment with more rare mushrooms to unlock new spells and abilities
