This gold signet ring bears the symbol of the house of Ahghairon, first open lord of Waterdeep. Attuning to this ring grants you an audience with the Adjudicant of the Pact, who may bestow upon you the honour of membership in the Council of Masked Lords. When attuned to you, the ring is invisible and gives you the following benefits:
- You can use an action to send telepathic message to the Adjudicant of the Pact, who may choose to respond. You cannot send another message for 24 hours.
- You are hidden from divination magic. You can't be targeted by such magic or perceived through magical scrying sensors.
- The number of magical items you can attune to is increased by 2.
...and Ahghairon forged thirty-five Rings of Rulership, which he gifted to the wisest houses of Waterdeep. And in so doing, Ahghairon decreed how The CIty of Splendor - the Jewel of the Sword Coast - would forever be governed. While he would sit as lord openly, a council of other lords of nearly equal power would rule with him. But the identity of those other lords would be hidden even from each other, thus preventing any of them from being approached and influenced by bribe or threat.
