Weapon (club), common (requires attunement by a Flamesister)

Agiel of the Flamebound

Wondrous item (weapon, rod)

This crimson rod hums with latent agony. Forged in the Heartforge beneath Vhalakar, the Agiel channels raw pain into focused psychic force. Only those bearing the Flamekiss can wield it without succumbing to its torment.

Properties:

  • Functions as a magic club.

  • Deals 1d4 bludgeoning + 2d6 psychic damage on hit.

  • While attuned, the wielder has resistance to psychic damage but takes 1 psychic damage per hour the item is held in hand (unless within a Rhaedaran sanctum).

  • When you hit a creature, it must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution save or be stunned until the end of your next turn. This can occur once per turn.

  • The Agiel glows faintly in the presence of magical rebellion or mind-altering effects.

Proficiency with a Club allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Notes: Damage: Psychic, Resistance: Psychic, Stunned, Flamesister, Light, Slow
