Armor (plate), very rare (requires attunement)

This hideous armor is formed from weathered wrought iron, beneath which lie briars of rusted metal.  After the attunement period, the armor constricts tightening and becoming one with you, the briars burrowing through your skin and encapsulating your heart.

  • You no longer require food or water as nourishment.
  • When you are bloodied, you gain a +1 Bonus to AC and Saving Throws.
  • Death around you can trigger surges of hunger. This armor has 3 charges and regains all its charges expended at dawn. When a creature is bloodied within a 30 foot radius you can expend a charge to cast Hunters Mark as a reaction. As the armor wills you to pursue it's next meal. However, when the target dies the spell ends.

The armor requires fresh blood be fed to it. Immediately after you finish any long rest, you must either feed half of your remaining Hit Dice to the armor (round up) or take 1 level of exhaustion.  Unless, the armor has fed the previous day through consuming a liter of blood.

Curse. This armor is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. You can’t remove the armor or end your attunement to them until you are targeted by a wish spell.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
