Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement)

A series of weapons entrusted to those willing to serve out their gods orders. While every version of these type of weapons are unique in its own ways, they all function similarly. Every Oracle Device simulates a random weapon and its properties for each attack the wielder makes with it. Some find this effect annoying or outright debilitating if they cannot adapt fast enough, While others see it as a great benefit making the enemy always second guess what'll come next. Few people know the internal workings of these device, if they're magical or just simply a form of mechanics beyond mortal comprehension. However, it is well known that these devices are some of the most dangerous weapons that can be found.

"Caduceus" itself always starts in its first attack in its longsword form, however upon the wielder making their second attack onwards roll a 1d8 and consults the following table. If the previous attack critically hit an enemy you may instead choose from the table which weapon to use for your next attack.

1 The weapon returns to its base longsword form, its damage is 1d10+Str slashing, this weapon does not need to roll to hit, it automatically deals its damage.
2 The weapon transforms into an oversized greatsword, its base damage becomes 2d12 + 2x Strength Slashing and it ignores resistances/immunities for its attack.
3 The weapon transforms into a elongated whip, its reach increases to 20 ft, the weapons base damage becomes 1d6+Dex slashing and an additional attack before it transforms again can be made with your bonus action.
4 The weapon transforms into a dagger, the weapons base damage becomes 1d6+Dex piercing. Bloodied enemies take double the damage from this weapon and are automatically hit.
5 The weapon transforms into a rapier, the weapons base damage becomes 1d10+Dex piercing, additionally for every point that exceeded the targets AC, add a point to the damage dealt by this weapon.
6 The weapon transforms into a lance, the weapon base damage becomes 1d12+Str piercing, its reach increases to 10 ft, and ignores piercing resistance/immunities for its attack.
7 The weapons transforms into a maul, its base damage becomes 2d6+ Str bludgeoning, and ignores bludgeoning resistance/immunities for its attack. Creatures hit by this weapon lose 10 ft of movement speed.
8 The weapons transforms into a battleaxe, its base damage becomes 1d12+Str slashing, creatures hit by this weapons must make a constitution save or have disadvantage on all attacks/saves until the end of its next turn. The DC of this save is 15 + wielders strength.

Upon successfully using this weapon 9 times in a single encounter, at the start of your next turn don't use any action/bonus action/movement/special actions. The blade puppets the wielder for this turn. Divide all 8 weapons among all creatures (excluding yourself) within 30 ft of the wielder, make the appropriate attack with each weapon against the creatures. After all attacks have been made. One creature of your choice is attacked with the weapons 9th form, a sharpened scythe, This attack has a +5 to hit/damage, deals 4d8+ 2x Str/Dex slashing, automatically critical hit if its beats the creatures armor class, ignores resistance/immunities, and if the creature isn't immune to slashing, inflicts slashing vulnerability onto the creature until the end of the creatures next turn.

After the end of this turn, the wielder makes a constitution save DC 20, if the wielder fails this save they fall unconscious for 1 minute as the blade overexerts the users body.
"This weapon is a tool to be used by you, however by using it you become a tool for beings beyond you."
- Rien, The First Wielder of an Oracle Device
