An Arrow of Unknown Effect is designed for shortbows and hand crossbows. The damage type is determined by the roll of a d8(you add 1 to the attack and damage roll, for these arrows are +1 magic items):

1: Acid

2: Cold

3: Fire

4: Force/Psychic

5: Lightning/Thunder

6: Necrotic/Radiant

7: The target teleports to an unoccupied area within 30 ft. of the target's original location, DM's choice where

8: You reroll this die and add another d8. you use both damages from the rolled die. If just one of the rolls is an 8, the arrow will only deal piercing damage
