Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement by a Requires attunement by a Monk of the Way of the Planar Sovereign.)

The Monolith of the Worldroot is a heavy stone talisman carved from primordial bedrock and etched with planar fractures. When activated, gravity thickens and the weight of distant mountains presses into the battlefield.

Only one Planar Relic may be attuned at a time. You must be attuned to this relic to use its abilities.

This relic’s abilities improve as you gain Monk levels.


🪨 Worldbreaker Slam

Action — 1/Long Rest

You strike the ground, sending a shockwave through stone and earth in a 15-foot radius centered on you. Creatures of your choice must make a Strength saving throw against your Monk save DC.

6th Level:
On a failure, a creature takes bludgeoning damage equal to three rolls of your Martial Arts die and is knocked prone.
On a success, half damage and not knocked prone.

11th Level:
Damage increases to four rolls of your Martial Arts die.

17th Level:
Damage increases to five rolls of your Martial Arts die. Creatures that fail the save are restrained by rising stone until the start of your next turn.


🪨 Gravity Brand

Action — 1/Long Rest

Choose one creature within 60 feet. The creature must make a Constitution saving throw against your Monk save DC.

6th Level:
On a failure, the creature takes bludgeoning damage equal to three rolls of your Martial Arts die and its speed is reduced to 0 until the start of your next turn.
On a success, half damage and no speed reduction.

11th Level:
Damage increases to four rolls of your Martial Arts die.

17th Level:
Damage increases to five rolls of your Martial Arts die. If the creature fails the save, it also has disadvantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws until the start of your next turn.

Bonus Action — 1/Long Rest

You root yourself in planar stone.

6th Level:
You gain temporary hit points equal to three rolls of your Martial Arts die and advantage on Strength saving throws until the end of your next turn.

11th Level:
Temporary hit points increase to four rolls of your Martial Arts die.

17th Level:
Temporary hit points increase to five rolls of your Martial Arts die. While these temporary hit points remain, you have resistance to forced movement.
