Armor (shield), legendary (requires attunement by a A cleric or Paladin of the Goddess Eritania)
A Vestige of Divergence once borne by Eritania during the final days of the Divine War.
A tall kite shield forged from platinum-steel alloy, it's surface is polished and unadorned except for a faintly engraved set of balanced scales. At it's rim, small inlays of dragon-scale shimmer faintly when injustice is near.
Dormant State
- While dormant, the Aegis grants resistance to necrotic and radiant damage.
- Allows the wielder to impose disadvantage on one attack per round against an ally within 10 feet of them.
- Once per long rest, the wielder may mark a creature that has harmed an innocent. Against that creature, the wielder deals additional radiant damage equal to their proficiency bonus.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
