These elegantly simple amulets appear to be made of solid gold, but is acutally made from an alloy of gold, starmetal and mithril, and they were fashioned long ago by elven wizards in service to the various elven courts and intended for ambassadors, messangers and courtiers needing to move from one court to another quickly.
Permantenly linked to one or more Magic Circles, these Amulets of Activation allow you to teleport from wherever you might be to one of the Teleportation Circles the Amulet is linked to by simply rubbing the amulet with your thumb and reciting the command phrase while wearing the amulet and succeeding a DC 12 Arcana Skill Check.
Common Activation Phrase: "Take me to (this location)."
If you fail, you may not make another attempt until after dawn on the following day; but, if you succeed, you will be instantly teleported without error to the Teleportation Circle of your choice which the Amulet is linked to.
When first discovered, Amulets of Activation will be linked to ONE Magic Circle; however, you may create (or arrange to create) up to a maximum of 8 Teleportation Circles and link them to the Amulet by casting the Teleportation Circle Spell (or arrange to have it cast for you) as a ritual while your are wearing the Amulet and while you are present for the ritual).
Notes: teleportation circle which the amulet is permanently linked to.
