Forged within the upper laboratories of the Arcanium Collective, the Aegis of Infinity is a defensive construct designed to draw upon the endless currents of arcane energy that permeate the weave.
Unlike conventional shields or wards, the Aegis does not merely block attacks. It reconstructs itself continuously, channeling ambient magic to restore its protective barrier again and again.
Infinite Ward
While attuned to the Aegis of Infinity, your Armor Class becomes 22 if it would otherwise be lower.
When the aegis manifests, you gain 60 temporary hit points representing a powerful arcane barrier surrounding you.
These temporary hit points are part of the shield and are lost before any damage can affect your normal hit points.
Barrier Collapse
When the 60 temporary hit points are reduced to 0, the magical shield shatters and dissipates.
While the barrier is collapsed:
• Your Armor Class returns to its normal value.
• The Aegis begins reconstructing itself.
Infinite Reconstruction
After 3 rounds of combat, if you still have at least 1 hit point, the Aegis reforms.
When the shield reforms:
• Your Armor Class becomes 22 again (if lower).
• You gain 60 temporary hit points.
This cycle can repeat indefinitely.
If combat ends before the shield reforms, it rebuilds automatically after 18 seconds (3 rounds).
